poem
There she was
As beautiful…
as she could ever be
In her dark emerald silk dress
with a long slit down her leg
Her makeup on point
and her brown curls
dangling so effortlessly
while she smiles
oh so happily
I’m in awe; I always am
And tonight, I’m yet again stuck by her beauty
my eyes can’t keep off her
I’m sweating buckets,
yet she is so far away from me
She’s all I search for,
whenever I’m in a room filled with strangers
My heart doesn’t dance the way
it dances when I lock eyes on her
In the library, she’s always in tune with her books
I wonder what captivates her mind
what makes her eyes sparkle like shooting stars?
Even now, what is making her smile so much
Will I ever make her smile so brightly?
The need I have to know wants me to know
